Nutrition Security Program

Ensuring families have access to nutritious food through community food distribution and nutrition education in Abuja. Our pilot program launched in April 2025.

Program Overview

Our Nutrition Security Program provides immediate food assistance while educating families on nutrition and healthy eating habits. As a new organization, we are building partnerships and expanding our reach methodically.

We currently operate in 2 communities in Abuja, partnering with 1 local farmers' cooperative and 1 community center to distribute food packages to families in need.

Key Activities

  • Weekly Food Distribution: Nutritionally balanced food parcels for households with young children, pregnant women, and elderly members
  • Community Gardens: Training and seeds for families to grow vegetables at home or in shared community plots
  • Nutrition Education: Workshops on meal planning, food preservation, and child nutrition led by registered dietitians
  • School Feeding Program: Hot meals for 15 primary school students in 8 underserved schools
  • Mother-Child Nutrition Clinics: Growth monitoring and supplementary feeding for malnourished children under 5

Girls Education Initiative

Girls Education Initiative

Removing barriers to education for girls through scholarships, mentorship, STEM programs, and safe school environments across underserved Nigerian communities.

Program Overview

Girls in poverty-affected communities face multiple barriers to education: school fees, lack of supplies, household responsibilities, early marriage pressure, and unsafe learning environments. Our Girls Education Initiative addresses all these factors through holistic support.

We provide full scholarships covering tuition, uniforms, books, and supplies for 40\+ girls from primary through secondary school. Beyond financial support, we offer mentorship, STEM enrichment, leadership training, and work with schools to create girl-friendly policies.

Key Activities

  • Full Scholarships: Complete educational support including tuition, uniforms, books, supplies, and exam fees for girls from low-income families
  • Mentorship Program: Each girl paired with a female professional mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and career exposure
  • STEM Clubs: After-school programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at 20 partner schools
  • Leadership Camps: Quarterly weekend camps focused on confidence, public speaking, financial literacy, and career planning
  • Safe Schools Initiative: Working with administrators to improve facilities (separate toilets for girls, lighting, secure boundaries)
  • Family Engagement: Regular meetings with parents to address concerns, celebrate achievements, and build community support

  • Family income below ₦60,000/month
  • Strong academic motivation (minimum 60% attendance if currently enrolled)

Mobile Healthcare Clinics

Mobile Healthcare Clinics

Bringing essential healthcare services to rural and underserved communities through mobile clinics, preventive care, maternal health support, and health education programs.

Program Overview

Many Nigerians in underserved areas lack access to basic healthcare education and wellness support. Our Healthcare Outreach Program operates in 2 communities in Abuja, providing health education, basic wellness checks, and referrals to medical facilities.

Our health outreach is supported by trained community health volunteers and partnerships with local health centers. We conduct monthly health education sessions in each community, teaching basic hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.

Key Activities

  • Primary Care Services: Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, wound care, health screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, malaria)
  • Maternal & Child Health: Antenatal care, postnatal checkups, child immunizations, family planning counseling
  • Pharmaceutical Services: Free essential medications dispensed on-site by licensed pharmacists
  • Health Education: Community workshops on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and when to seek medical care
  • Referral Network: Coordination with nearby hospitals for cases requiring specialized care or hospitalization
  • Vision & Dental Screening: Basic eye exams and dental checkups with referrals for treatment

Women's Economic Empowerment Program

Women's Economic Empowerment Program

Enabling women to achieve financial independence through microenterprise training, seed capital grants, business mentorship, and access to markets and financial services.

Program Overview

Economic empowerment of women is crucial for family stability and community development. Our Women's Economic Empowerment Program provides comprehensive support for women to start or grow small businesses through business training, seed capital, mentorship, and ongoing technical assistance.

Since April 2025, we have trained 12 women in business skills, with 8 successfully launching small businesses. Our program includes classroom training, peer learning groups, and mentorship to help women achieve financial independence.

Key Activities

  • Business Skills Training: 12-week intensive course covering business planning, financial management, pricing, marketing, and customer service
  • Seed Capital Grants: ₦50,000-₦200,000 grants (not loans) for business startup or expansion after completing training
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Each participant matched with successful entrepreneur for guidance and accountability
  • Peer Learning Groups: Monthly meetings of 10-15 women for mutual support, problem-solving, and savings circles
  • Market Linkages: Connections to suppliers, bulk buyers, and e-commerce platforms to expand sales
  • Financial Inclusion: Assistance opening bank accounts, accessing mobile money, and understanding credit
  • Digital Skills: Training in social media marketing, basic accounting apps, and online business tools
